Zack from JerryRigEverything has a lot of Explaining to do

Writer: userupdateuserupdate

The JerryRigEverything Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Durability Test Youtube video spawned a manufactured controversy. Zack from JerryRigEverything has a lot of explaining to do because he was literally calling Samsung liars and that they lied about the glass and "the screen isn’t glass.”

The story gets wilder because the very next day he published his tear down video where he finds out amidst recording the screen is in fact glass and Samsung had not lied! To his credit, he tries to correct is big conclusion made in the previous video; Zack was wrote he admits, the screen is indeed glass.

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that the tear down video didn’t get as many view as the durability test, and other Youtubers were already referencing the durability test video. Zack intial incorrect conclusion had already reached too many ears. Up to this moment, comments on the internet are calling Samsung a shady lying company referring to the Z Flip and they are citing JerryRigEverything Stress test video.

Despite the fact that the tear down video proves Samsung didn’t lie and the screen is in fact glass, all of the facts are mostly unnoticed. In a way, it's fair to feel salty because of Zack’s extremely poor journalistic judgment when covering the Z Flip. He my have single-handedly pushed many would-be buyers away from purchasing this phone.

Personally, I couldn't say that I was ever planning on buying a Z Flip, but I was pretty excited about the phone when it was announced. I was rooting for Samsung to do something great. The durability test video almost ruined my excitement over the phone, but I was skeptical. There was already plenty of coverage on the development of folding glass. Considering demonstrations of folding glass, there was enough reason to believe that folding glass wouldn't behave anything like typical slabs of glass that covers smartphones. In other words, I wasn't surprised to see folding glass behaving like a plastic in the durability test video.

Zack should’ve done more research. He shouldn't have released that durability test in the way that he did. He should have deleted the video and re-uploaded a new one. He should have done more to correct the record and let the public know that he was wrong and Samsung never lied about the screen.
