QT Shine and Trswyop Battery Cases Reviewed

The whole point of getting the QTShine 8500 mAh battery for the iPhone 6S Plus and the Trswyop 6500 mAh case is to never have to worry about recharging your iPhone. These case allows you to never need a charger nearby all day. I highly recommend this case if you are looking for the added functionality of long battery life. It is decently built. Soft touch feels nice in the palm.

These cases do have their downsides though. The picture is not entirely rosy. The case adds a significant amount of weight and the thickness of the phone. This must be taken into consideration when purchasing. The case makes the phone twice as heavy and twice as thick. It is very hefty. Though I will add you will gain a muscle memory for hold it and you will get used to it over time.

To make up for that heft, the soft touch plastic makes the case still feel nice and grippy to hold. Unfortunately, this material choice comes with its own downsides. It not the best choice because it's very a delicate material. When handling this thing you will need a to wipe it down with a cloth or clean it from time to time.

For the cases, the greatest downside comes down to recharging the case when it eventually drains to empty. This is a lengthy process, recharging from empty to full can take up to 4-8 hours. This is likely because specifications label shows a max input of 1.0A which means it can take in as much as a slow 5W charge. In my experience charging is stupidly slow.

However, these shortcomings can be lived with. Firstly, keep the case as clean as your can. Second, charge the battery case with the phone overnight if you have to refill it, this way you can slumber through the charge time. Since I usually charge my phone and battery case overnight since I got the case delivered, I never have to notice how long it takes to charge.

Once fully charge this battery pack can keep the phone running for 2 full days with heavy usage. It gives the phone stellar battery life, because you can always click a button and top up your battery.

After one week:

This battery case truly turns any iPhone into a 2 Day battery life phone. You can safely charge at night and forget about charging all day long. The main, lame downside is that this case pretty much demands a 4-8 hours charge time from empty to full with a 15W USB fast charger, thus it is strictly important to keep in mind that total charging time, because it's an overnight mission so it is best to charge this case while you sleep if you ever reach zero

Pros:

Unimaginable god-mode battery life. This thing can last days, great for those who play Pokemon Go or frequently watching Youtube on the go.

Has a Lightning port so you can use your apple usb cable like you normally would for charging and data transfer

Cons:

Makes phone twice as thick as well as almost twice as heavy therefore super bulky and not for everyone especially if you value petite-ness.

The soft touch membrane feels super nice to touch but scratches too easily, deep scratches within 48 hours, keep away from dust sand and or grit.

Neither good or bad, but still concerning:

Super long charging times, I think to fully fill the case where it shows all 4 LEDs takes about 4 hours judging from the 2 separate tests I conducted.

The instructions manual is inaccurate or incorrect as it mentions when the case is fully charged the leds will stop shining, this is not true at all. When the case is fully charged the 4 LEDs with shine their normal solid blue color.
