Letter from Editor
Dear Reader,
I am launching UserUpdate as of February 2020. UserUpdate is all about the love of personal computing in all its various form-factors, be it desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. From high-performance demanding applications like CAD and 3D design, to wireless communications protocols, to the very devices that all of these things. From here on out, all of the best tech will be covered here.
The ability to task machines with running our favorite applications for work or entertainment is incredibly mind blowing. I grew up during the time that personal computing devices were solidifying their place in our daily lives. Computers are very much worth every bit of fascination that writers like me put out onto the internet these days, and I think the fascination has everything to do with my experience growing up with AOL dial-up internet and now living with globally-connected world with super fast 4G enabled, pocket-sized computing devices.
This is what motivates me to write this blog. After all, the rapid development of computers is a vivid reminder the we are living in a very peculiar time. Indeed, what a time to be alive!
