Since UserUpdate started there have been a lot of posts about what to buy. There are lot of recommendations on getting the best device for the price. Those recommendations have been primarily focused on getting users the best phone for a budget up to 250 Euros, and so far the recommendations have been overwhelmingly Android phones. This is because Androids successfully bring a lot of features at the mid range price point, but what if you are solely focused on getting an Apple iOS device. Well, today UserUpdate is recommending the best iOS devices to buy.

iPhones are great! Though we don't often consider them budget devices, you can even buy an old, used iPhone and expect to get many years of amazing update support from Apple. All apple phones have incredible cameras that produce sharp and detailed images. All iPhones have incredible chip performance and these are some of the strongest phones money can buy, lag is non-existent in iOS. If you are purchasing your next phone after owning an affordable Android phone, UserUpdate recommends the following models (order from oldest-to-newest; weakest-to-strongest performance):
A9 chip
0. iPhone 6s Plus can be bought only used for about 150-250 EUR. This phone was used to draft this article. It scores 170,000 in Antutu, so this chip performance is on par with the Snapdragon 660 & 665 found in Android phones like Nokia 7.2 or Redmi Note 7, or similar to the Exynos 9611 chip in the Samsung Galaxy A51. So with the iPhone 6s Plus, you are getting solid midrange performance from an 5 year old Phone. Proof that Apple designs their chips to be super strong and literally years ahead of Android performance. However, this phone does not get a strong recommendation this time because iOS 14 should be the last major update and late 2021 should be the device's EOL.

A10 chip
1. iPhone 7 Plus is the "weakest" iPhone UserUpdate recommends and can only be found used for as low as 200 EUR but usually 250-350 EUR. Though it is the weakest iPhone on this list, it is not weak at all because it scores 235,000 in Antutu Benchmark which makes it slightly stronger than the Snapdragon 675 chip inside the Galaxy A70.

A11 chip
2. iPhone 8 Plus can be bought used or new for about 350-450 EUR used. It scores 300,000 in Antutu

3. iPhone X can be bought used or for about 400-600 EUR used, scores 290,00 in Antutu

A12 chip
4. iPhone Xr can be bought used or new for about 400-750 EUR used or new, score 410,000 in Antutu

5. iPhone XS

6. iPhone XS Max

A13 chip
7. iPhone 11

8. iPhone 11 Pro

9. iPhone 11 Pro Max is the strongest and most expensive iPhone you can buy right now, they easily cost 1000 EUR or more for a used one or a new one. Though somewhat expensive this beast of a phone scores about 500,000+ in Antutu, making it worth its price due to high performance.

10. iPhone SE 2020 <--- 500 EUR (I do not recommend this model for anyone due to small screen and battery)

If you like any model on this list of recommendations go for it. However if you want to spend less than 400 EUR the best option is the iPhone X or the slightly stronger iPhone XR. These are the best options in terms of balancing price per performance. They guarantee high performance, long support life, and they are with the affordable midrange price point. If you had to spend 400 EUR on either a Samsung Galaxy A71 or an iPhone X or XR, pick the iPhone. These two iPhones have distinct advantages however. Pick the X for the high-res OLED Screen. Pick the XR for bigger screen, better battery life, and chip performance.

If your budget is about 250 EUR, UserUpdate gives a solid recommendation to the iPhone 7 Plus. It is affordable, with a great camera, and great performance. Unfortunately, you can only find them used by now. This is the advantage many Android phones have in this price segment, it's the fact that Androids at this price can be found new. Notice how if you are shopping for Androids at this 250 EUR price point there are hundreds upon countless Android phones to choice from, however when you are shopping for iOS there is literally only 12 models to choose from and only 2 of them can be consistently be priced under 250 EUR and that's the iPhone 6s Plus and the iPhone 7 Plus. You will have to buy either of those iPhones used. If you don't mind a used phone go for the iPhone 7 Plus. Be careful when shopping for used phones, of course.
